Residenzplatz Christmas Market
Hands-down my favorite European Christmas market from my trip. Everything about it - the people, the variety in vendors, the food options. I was so happy here. Truly didn't want to leave.
Pro Tip
Make sure to wander! The market expands across multiple areas often connected by just a small path. Don't miss any of the sections, they each have their own treasures to find.
Mozart Geburtshaus
The place where Mozart was born has been turned into a museum. I just looked at it from the main street but you can enter for 15€. A short walk from the Geburtshaus is where he used to live. It's right near Mirabell Palace and Gardens where scenes from The Sound of Music were filmed.
Pro Tip
Walk along the main street (Getreidegasse) and pop into some cool shops and restaurants.
