Famous Canals (Reien)
Surrounded by canals, the historically medieval town has many different lookouts over the waterway. Rozenhoedkaai (Rosary Quay) is the most famous area but definitely stroll around and enjoy all the canals.
Pro Tip
You can also hop onto a boat and explore the canals this way. Tours are usually about 30 minutes and take you to areas that aren't visible by land.
Try Belgium Chocolate
Pop into any chocolatier as you walk around the town. I recommend getting a few individual pieces from multiple places to find your favorite! They have a chocolate museum (the same one that is in brussels) and plenty of chocolate making classes and demonstrations.
Pro Tip
Some chocolatiers will let you watch the artisans as they work and will even give you free tastings.
